This project required complete demolition of the existing first storey due to its poor condition. Reconfigured and extended with 4 new bedrooms upstairs and 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom, dining room and study were restored to their former art deco glory. The existing bathroom and 1950s addition were demolished and extended to incorporate a large family room and kitchen complete with AGA oven and extensive Blum drawers and butler’s pantry. The entire home achieved a 6-star energy rating upon completion.

Elements: Concrete slab on ground to extended family room; Shoji White Steel powder-coated double-glazed windows; extensive 2-pack joinery with curved Caesarstone kitchen bench; satin finish Tasmanian oak flooring to match existing; rough cast render to match existing; C-BUS home – automation; undertile floor heating to bathroom, ensuite and laundry; linen chute; Cheminee Philippe fireplace with recycled brick (exposed) surround.
